Welcome.  Sorry I can't help with your original question since I don't have one yet.  I plan on building one this winter.  Still working on design.

Will do. I am making two prototypes: 1 which is pretty much all see through besides the wooden lid on the top, and 1 which is see through on all sides besides the bottom and top. If you're interested I can build one for you and save you the hassle. Let me know.
