Hello from North Florida

Hello all, I am new to the forum (natch) and new to beekeeping.
I joined my local club in 2014 and did my reading and building for a year before I got a nuc and two packages from local sources in 2015. No sooner got them hived between March and May of last year when I caught a swarm in one of my traps. Wasn't planning on 4 hives to start, but that's what I got and we all made it through so far. I just became the proud parent of my first two splits.
Still work full time but on the road to retirement after 22 years with the state of Florida.
Still finding my way around the forum.

Fyi, just realized I already did this hi I'm so and so. Disregard. I'm a forum newbie too. Already had my first duh moment.
