Varroa in top bar

How do you treat for varroa in a top bar hive? 
Where do you put the strips?

I recommend that you don?t. Even in a Langstroth hive they are very ineffective. I tried sever time to get them to work. I switched to Screen Bottom Board with an oil tray. They are extremely effective.
I recommend looking at the Small Hive Beetle Grease.

Oops, you are right. I think the time stamp may have something to do with it.

With a Top Bar Hive there's a choice: you could either pull bars one at a time and dribble Oxalic Acid over the combs - spraying the solution might be easier with Top Bars - or dosing the hive with Vapourised Oxalic Acid.  I use the latter method - usually once a year when broodless during the winter.  This year I'm multi-dosing - but only because I've got a new toy to play with.
Vapourising is far less disruptive than dribbling.
