Bought and installed my first Nuc a week ago today and re-hived a wild bee colony collected from inside a lumber bay at our local lumber yard yesterday. Very interested in learning from the group.

I am. Joined Last Monday evening. Thanks for the help. I checked the bees a few minutes ago and the queen was nearly out. I could easily brush the bees aside from around the cage. I went ahead and finished releasing her and all seemed well. Fingers crossed.

Congratulations on your first queen release.
