Laugh if you will, for comfort while working my bees this summer, I have purchased a lite-weight fan, pop-up canopy, and already own a power inverter. . I have already given it a trial run a few weeks ago on a warmer day, (warmer days have been rare so far!)  One thing that I have learned. Be sure to place a screen on the suction side of the fan in order to keep from creating the same effect on bees that the wind powered generators have on birds. Also it is easy to move the pop-up down the line when need for shade. I should have done this two years ago when I first started. The vented jacket felt like a cooling jacket with the wind coming steady through. AHHHH lol

I'm not laughing, I'm jealous!  Lucky you.  I don't even own a ventilated suit.   :cheesy:  One of these days I'll have to invest in one.

This is simultaneously awful and funny.
I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

I've already decided a vented jacket is in my future. I was sweating in it already on a 75? day...

The pop up canopy is a great idea!

Been thinking the same thing.

It gets misebly hot here.
41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?

42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.

43 And he took it, and did eat before them.

I have been around bees a long time, since birth.  I am a hobbyist so my answers often reflect this fact.  I concentrate on genetics, raise my own queens by wet graft, nicot, with natural or II breeding.  I do not sell queens, I will give queens  for free but no shipping.

For sure, the next time I get the rig out. It was cool today.
