As a lot of folks know, I am a queen rearing NUT.

This am, in the morning sun, this Cordovan queen was so beautifully colored in direct sunlight so I could not resist.  I had to take pics.  What a beautiful queen.  The pic does not do justice to the queen true color.  I have to resize with greatly reduces resolution.  Also my iPhone XR camera is not overly impressive, just ok.

I have been around bees a long time, since birth.  I am a hobbyist so my answers often reflect this fact.  I concentrate on genetics, raise my own queens by wet graft, nicot, with natural or II breeding.  I do not sell queens, I will give queens  for free but no shipping.

Caught in the act of laying.  Abdomen dropped into cell to lay an egg.

I tried to adjust for true color in this pic,  however her natural Cordovan color is much more vivid in real sunlight.  Such a beauty, home grown no less.

Yes Sir, yes Lady, I get excited when I see such a beautiful queen.  My work paid in full.  Just an old man I am, with his bees and some very special queens that I enjoy so much.  This particular queen has such gentle bees, impressive calm daughters.

Health to your bees!

I come from under the hill, and under the hills and over the hills my paths led.  And through the air, I am she that walks unseen.

When the lid goes back on, the bees will spend the next 3 days undoing most of what the beekeeper just did to them.
