I'm thinking about giving it a try and see how it goes. I'm pretty lazy so I want the easiest and most efficient method, not necessarily the cheapest. I'm looking at these Honeycomb Hives units because they look pretty convenient and easy to use. I know they're expensive at $24 per frame but you do get 11 units out of a frame so that would be about $2.20/ea initially. The frames can get reused and then it's about $1.44/cup, which doesn't look to be too far out of line with the price of honey jars. I'm expecting that they should bring a premium dollar and since there isn't a lot of it around, competition would be light for driveway sales.

Let me hear it!

The least work for comb honey is cut comb.  Any cassette system is a lot more work.  I know, in theory, they are not but in reality they are.  You have to really crowd the bees to get them work any kind of cassette or sections and then you have to keep them from swarming and all of that is a lot more work.

Les has a huge ongoing thread about comb honey, so I'm sure you'll find some good info here.
