Nuc bees or package bees?

One reason I was asking is that the buckwheat I planted is now blooming.  

I'm planning on taking Finsky's advice and do the Oxalic acid trickling this fall.

I'm sure this question has been asked on here many times. I am new here so I do not know the answer. I am reading, "Beekeeping for Dummies." The author says that package bees are the best way to go because they are easier to handle for a new beekeeper. Also, alot of the apiaries are putting on there websites that nucs are the best way too. I do not know if this is a sale tactic to get more money or what. What do you guys think?

By the way, I think I have my wife convinced to let me give beekeeping a try! But not in our backyard. She said I could do it at our family's 400 acre plot of land out in the country. So I am pleased!

Seems this thread has drifted a bit off topic. I think the consensus was there are many advantages to starting with a nuc. Okay, I'm ready to place an order to get my second hive started next spring. Now there are no local suppliers, so where can I order a nuc that can be shipped?

Does it matter how far they are shipped? (we ordered package bees last year from Georgia and they arrived just fine)

Is it better to order from a place with a similar (cold) climate? 

I'm thinking of starting the next hive with Carniolans. Does anyone know where to find a supplier who would ship a nuc?
