Last time I remove a large hive without the bee vac. This hive is about 3yrs old according to the bldg owner but must have had 100,000 bees, no kidding, Good luck finding the queen in that mass of bees. Don't know what I was thinking not bringing the vac, can kick myself, now I have to go back and deal with a mob of bees. It's a vacant bldg that's being torn down. I have 2 hive bodies in place with a bunch of brood but most of the bees wanna be where the queen is, wherever that is. This hive also had an extremely large amount of drones. I would say at least 15 percent were drones. And I got stung on the forehead 4 times, temple once and my nose looks like Jimmy Durantes.

Ouch. Recently got stung twice right under my eye. Yes, a bee vac with 100,000 is a good idea.
