Understudy

I was intentionally chopping down a tree in my yard. And I had the choice to take out the roof of the house or my wife's garden. Needless to say I didn't want to redo the roof. However the price I paid was very high inded.

Yes, but if someone hadn't been there would it have made any noise?

There really is no such thing as noise. The air vibrates and the ears funnel the vibrations down to the ear drum. Then through a series of bone to the inner ear where the vibrations are picked up by little hairs that are tied to nerves that sends the signal to the brain. So when a tree falls it does not make any noise, but it does disturb the air.

Yes, but, if a man speaks in the forest and there's no woman to hear him, is he still wrong?
