What to do with used frames?

Hi, I lost my hive over the winter. What do I do with the used frames? I have 3 packages ariving tomorrow. I was thinking of using the fames full of honey for the new bees. I have lost of empty drawn out frames, that are dark. Last year was my first hive. What is the standard practice for used frames?

I would reuse them and put the honey frames on the outside walls.
