Light Color Honey- Why?

My honey this year is a very pale yellow. Much lighter than in the past. This year I let a couple of acres go to clover blossom instead of mowing and I think that is why.  Can any of you who get mostly clover blossoms in their area confirm this with their honey? Normally I get a wildflower honey which is noticeably darker. I should add that I got more honey than normal this year and much earlier. Hopefully I will get 1 more chance at harvesting this year.

Clover honey is light in color, my bees make a good bit of it early spring. My bees are on 13 acres on my friend's property. Here's a pic:

Lite colored honey sells faster w/ most clients. Hands down too. My early harvets is very lite(white wine) later is the typical tan/golden variety. Both are wildflower, but the lite colored honey sells out 4 times faster.
