I've just started bee keeping this spring and got one nuc of my own to try from a local bee keeper.  The girls seem to be doing well so far.  I also do woodworking and have lots of wood shavings from pine boards that I used in a recent cabinet project.  Does anyone have knowledge as to whether or not this is an okay or good fuel to use in my smoker?  Thanks for any input.  (Any other advice for a new guy in bee keeping is also appreciated.) Thanks again.

The wood shavings would work great as well as pine needles, old rags, dried up weeds, burlap, belly button lint... ;) :-D
