Howdy folk!   I'm a 3yr/3hive beekeeper, and got started when I met a great retired cabinet maker who introduced me to beekeeping.  Went to a some classes and got hooked!

Of course, my wife limited me to just one hive to get started, so of course I had already ordered and received my one (and only!) hive, when the very following week, I ended up winning two hives from a North Carolina state sponsored program to encourage new beekeepers.   So, here I am with 3 happy hives, and loving it.

Can't wait to share experience and learn with everyone, ronnie

Ronbo, welcome to our forum.  What a bonus day that was when you won those two hives eh?  Cool.  This IS the place where you will love to spend time, a place to tell your tales and experiences, we love to listen, this is a fun thing, you will also make some new friends here too.  Have that most wonderful and awesome day, Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service

Ok, so I updated my profile to reflect my hometown of Raleigh, NC.  I'm so very fortunate to be in this area, a beekeeping mecca.  There is such a strong following around of backyard beekeepers and county associations!
