I have a weak colony that probably won't survive the winter here in MA.  We just completed an 3 frame observation hive and are wondering what is the best method for moving the bees into it.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Just put them in.  If the old location is close by, then close them up for a couple of days to get them to reorient when they leave.  If they still look a little weak you can shake some bees into a box and hook it up to the tube and wait for them to move in.

We just discussed this over the weekend.  Read down a few posts to "Moving into a new hive" by ArmucheeBee.

Thanks!

I just read the post re: moving into a new hive.  That was helpful too.
