I'm thinking about buying this suit for my sons birthday. Have never used a suit, so I dont know much about them. Would like to get something that will offer him some sting protection. Advise is appreciated. BTW, this is the suit from Brushy Mountain.

that suit is the Beemaster suit-that is the one i wear and i dont get stung -it is comfortable and you can see through it esaly-it is more expensive than many others but it is of fine caliber-and provides confidence in any intense situation-others have tried to mimick it -and they are not as good -RDY-B

Thanks, its the nicest looking in my opinion. just wasn't sure if it held up in a beeyard. my oldest son will be eight in October. He is learning a little. Next year I'm going to let him work the hives a little himself with me there watching. If he drops a frame, I just don't want him to have a bad experience that might deter him from wanting to learn.

This is the suit that my boys have worn.  It has served them very well.  Just make sure you buy your son some boots, not just tennis shoes, or he might get stung on the ankle like my son did.  My son handled it well, but was a damper on our first day beekeeping together.  We had taped his ankles up but the bee got through anyway.  Boots are especially important this time of year when the bees are so cross.

Have fun!

Ahh, I must get one, my daughter, age 6, wants so bad to hang out with me while I am working my hives. She is so in love with bees now, it's cute. So, this is a must have.
