Anyone have any experience with these. I have the chance to pick up a new one still in the box for about $600. I am thinking that it would be wonderful for the building of boxes etc. Seems like the possibilities are endless. But, it could also be a piece of *&%&*....
Just looking for some advice from someone who may have one.

my husband wants one too.  they have come down in price.  do a google search with the item name, number and look for reviews.  you may find user reviews that will help you decide.

Nice if you want a robot to do your woodworking for you.  It may be overkill for bee boxes.

1. The reviews are mixed.
2. It takes alot of time to do routine tasks. (reviews)
3. It may have a higher failure rate and it may be better to wait for better technology. (reviews)
4. It depends on how hard you work for your money and what you would do with $1700 otherwise.

I was thinking it was a planner and not a cnc system. If you thinking of making finger joints with it, I don't think it will work. A cnc router system is going to give you rounded inside corners not the sharp ones you need. There is a cnc forum on the web, you might check there for some feedback.

I did a little research and found the manufacturer's web site. It seems pretty interesting. There is also a gallery page where owners have posted their work.
