Hi,
I live on the NJ-PA border on the Delaware River (zone 6).  It's March 29, 2009. When can I remove the mouse guard?
                               Thanks,               Jester

Hi Jester,

I took mine off about two weeks ago, when the  bees were starting to
work the pollen. I am not sure if there is an exact time?  It is my first winter with the girls and so far so good.

when I used them I would remove them when the temps was up and the bee's started being active.

Here it's bee warm enough for the bees to fly more often than not in the daytime.  So I'd pull them now, if I had any, here.  With top entrances I don't have any anymore.  I've always used 1/4" hardware cloth back when I had bottom entrances.
