Not taking the syrup

This is my first winter with two hives and learning as I go. The girls have been active with allot of pollen to date. It was in the 70's last weekend. I reversed the boxes, put in a pollen patty, miteaway II and a hive top feeder. They have not taken any syrup with honeybee healthy and a little cider vinegar to help with the mold. The temps went south for a day and have came back to 50's. They are very active again today. Just wondering if I am doing anything wrong?

Any thoughts.

When the temps are cold at night and only into the 50's in the day, the syrup seldom warms up enough for them to take it.  If you take the syrup back and warm it up on the stove and give it to them warm, I'll bet they'll take it.
