I'm fairly new to beekeeping, although been thinking about doing it & reading material on the subject for the last 5 or so years. Started by going to the NC Bee School, about a year ago. Then, I started my bee yard with two hives, they wintered well, so now I have increased to 6. I have a mentor who's been keeping bees since he was 13. Now he's 75! He's been a huge help. Glad to have found this forum & look forward to interact with it's members.

Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, are also remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so.

Welcome to the forum Ken.

Bees must really be active down there at this time of the year.

Ken, welcome to our forum (my Husband's name, you must be a great guy, smiling).  This will be a place that you will learn that you love to spend time, a place that you can tell us all your stories, tales and experiences, and lean on us for advice.  Stick around.  Have that great, most wonderfully wonderful day, health wishes to us all.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
