Sweet just talked to Ceder Glenn and they told me that the bee's will be shipped on the 27th and will arrive on the 28th of this month.  My question is when I make up the sugar water can I do it the night before and should I put it in the refrigerator which I can see some problems of recrystallization, or can I leave it sit out all night long. Or am I getting ahead of myself and you do it early in the morning and let it cool down.  Thanks! :)

P.S. as many of you know this will be my first package ever and should be interesting hehe.  The wife wants to video it just to see if I get stung her words not mine

You can leave it set out for a few weeks { in a sealed container } I use 1/2 gal. milk bottles then pour into Quart Jars with holes in the lid sitting on a inner cover with a extra hive body then the top cover.

Sugar water won't Crystalize in that time.

Most of all have the Syrup Warm, at least room temperature when you put it on the hive. They will not take it cold.

Above all join your local bee club and use your public library.
LOCAL help is very valuable.

The only Cedar Glen I know of is in Stanwood, WA, a long way from the mid-west.  If it's the same Cedar Glen Bees, PM me and we'll work something out.

I have never seen sugar syrup for bee's 1-1 or 2-1  Crystallize ever when it get below freezing, dont put in frig, the only problem I see with sugar syrup is when it gets old it will grow mold, bee's still eat eat and no problems here, containers never get mold but my open feeding jars do, I still just refill and let them go, when they get bad moldy I will clean them, never had a problem. I say make you syrup a few days before and leave them outside in a shed of garage and when you get your bee's feed them heavy to get them started right with comb...
THAT's ME TO THE LEFT JUST 5 MONTHS FROM NOW!!!!!!!!
