Hello everyone, I'm new to beekeeping, purchased one hive body this spring with queen installed and they are doing fine, a little slow to start do to the cold wet weather. I enjoy woodworking so I build all of my own hive bodies and supers. I've caught two swarms this season and went out and rescued a colony from a tree the road commission was going to cut down to widen the road, that was INTERESTING(learned a lot that day) looking forward to visiting with all of you.

Steven,

Welcome to the group.  I too generate all the wood shavings and sawdust that my garage can hold. Routing those finger joints sure does make a mess.  Hope that you enjoy your online experience here.

Steven, welcome to our forum, great that you have found us.  You will find this a great place to spend time, a place to tell your stories and experiences, ask questions; and make new friends.  Stick around, we love new members.  So nice that you have the skills to make your own bee equipment, consider yourself very fortunate.  Have a wonderful, most awesome day, health.  Cindi
There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
