I have heard that I should pull one frame out of my ten frame deep brood box.  Is this an opinion or do the bee's need the extra room?  Right now they have seven out of ten drawn on the bottom brood box,  there is only brood in four frames the rest are honey and pollen,  the second brood box currently has ten frames in it and six were drawn out and most of that six had honey in it.  I didn't see any brood in the second brood box, just honey.
Should I stay at ten frames or go to nine?
Is it normal for the second brood box to be full of honey and no brood?

seemed to be a lot more bees in there this week than last!

ok,  sorry for waisting your time.   After searching some more I came up with good answers,  ten in deep brood gives me better comb and more cell space for brood.  Ten in supper till drawn to keep things even then go to nine and let them draw it out a little further to assist in decapping!    Now what about the second deep brood box being all honey and no brood?

You will most likely need two deeps to make it through the winter as far north as you are. I believe I would leave them as ten frames for both boxes.
