My 9yo son and I got bee hives for Christmas.  We installed our package the second week in June.  Right now we are still learning and trying to understand the things we see.  I hope to learn a lot here and one day be able to contribute as well.

Take care,
EV

Congratulations on the bees and glad you found the forum. This is the best place to learn about the bees and get any help you need.

Just keep us informed how they are doing and ask away

Sincerely
Annette

Welcome and I wish you and your son all the luck in bekeeping! IMO its a great experiance (less the stings) and should make for a wonderful bonding experiance for both of you.  Mobile is a really good area for bees, long forage season and plenty of good nectar producers.
