How about 10 lbs?
2 5 lb. bags sugar with 1/2 gal. water. Heat and stir until dissolved, or bring water to a boil, remove from heat, and add sugar, for winter feed.

1 5 lb. bag and 1/2 gallon water for spring comb drawing and brood rearing. It will mix with hot tap water. No need to heat on stove.

I'm not sure, but do you mean 5 lb bag of sugar to 1 quart of water for 2-1 syrup?

Sorry, but you are feeding two very different things for two very different reasons, for two entirely different results. One recipe will not work for both.

1 to 1 will only feed the bees, it will not leave them any for storage.

2 to 1 will not make them rear brood, nor draw comb if there is any other place to store it.

The bees do not adjust to our desires nor schedules.
