ive been bragging about how i can mow the grass within 10ft of hive for 2 years w/o getting stung. well it happened, 1 sting on the hand. IT HERT

Hey papa.... do the real test. Crank up the ole weedeater around the hives. I never knew I could run so fast!  :-D

I too could mow right up to the hives without a bother... until the above incident!

I guess I have been lucky so far....I mow and run the weed eater right around the hives...fully expecting to be attacked at any moment.. :-D

I have actually run the weedeater around my stands without being bothered.  Now, I don't spend a whole lot of time doing it - mostly, it is just a quick 'haircut' and moving on!

Ahh...but what they are on a sunny summer day is different from what they are on a cloudy fall day without much forage!!

And one sting?  What a wimp! Get used to it!!  :-D
