New beek, obtained bees over the summer and had a later start. Moved the hive from the Bronx to Chestnut Ridge.
Need to find info, step by step, for winterizing. Happy to find this forum and looking forward to learning.

Hi there!

Just curious...  Are you a member of the NYC Beekeeping Meetup Group?

I attended a few of the classes headed by Jim Fischer last winter.

Hey there Robo, I was going to a long weekend retreat at Ashokan this holiday weekend but ended up having to work. So beautiful in that part of NY. Thanks for the welcome.

@ BeeCurious, yes I am a member of Jim's meetup. I helped harvest his first honey for this season, what a day's work! He's a lucky fella to have a brownstone to keep his hives on. I had my hive out in the Bronx on my back patio for a while.

Welcome emergencygirl. Just have to ask about your name. Are you a EMT or something in the medical field to come up with your user name?

Welcome to the forum. There is alot of knowledgeable people here that are very helpful.
There is also tons of information in the files so if you have some free time on your hands its a good idea to just use the search function and look up older threads. I learned alot doing that.
