My dad told me how to get them in the hive and everything else I learned was from here and skimming through a couple books.  I did take a queen rearing course but I have yet to put that to use.  That'll happen next year.  :-)

My 'mentor' is a guy who works for our construction company in the winter months - he's an ex-con- keeping bees was the only job he could get when he was released - ever try to get a job with a felony record??  We are complete opposites - he has over 500 hives.  We are good friends.  He sold me my first hive sevaral years ago.  People call us "ms gena and the beeman".  lol - Gena
