Hey,

I was standing there this morning watching the bees leave on their foraging journeys and began to wonder. When the bees fly out, they tend to fly in a sinusoidal path. Is this the bees measuring distance? Does each of these left-right motions equate to one gyration in the wiggle dance?

My first thought had been that they were just making adjustments to their flight path, or drunk  ;), but then I thought of the above.

Probably setting their directional finders. Orienting their self with the Sun in relation to their foraging source. They do do that you know. :)doak

Or perhaps they have converted some of the honey into mead.  After all, do we REALLY know what they do in the hive after dark?    8-) :-D

All the more reason to rob them!  :-D
