How close to a bee tree can one place a swarm trap with good results.  I now of one, maybe two, that i have access to.

I'd like to see someone with this type of experience weigh in here too.  I've trapped swarms but never knowingly set up the trap for a particular hive.  I do have a bee tree that I'll be trying to get a swarm out of this spring.  I'll be setting up a couple traps nearby.

I am planning on having one trap +/-50 yards away with another maybe +/-100 yards away.  The 5 frame traps will have an old drawn frame in each of them with 4 undrawn frames filling the remainder of nuc.  They'll also have lemon grass oil in them.  I'll be placing them in locations that are predominately in the shade and about 7 foot off the ground.  This doesn't mean it will work but unless I hear from someone with specific experience this is what I will be trying.
Ninja, is not in the dictionary.  Well played Ninja's, well played...

D Coates,
Have you ever had trouble with wax moth on the drawn frame?
