My hives are bordered by woods, and they did this last year, too. I just hoped and wished for a lovely, stable hollow tree in the woods for them to set up house and then evolve into very resistant, locally wonderful bees :)

Set out a couple swarm boxes with lure in them, and HOPE!

iddee--can swarm boxes be at typical hive level, or is it better if they are suspended from a tree or some other high place?

The preferred height is 10 to 15 feet, but ground level to 70 feet has worked.
