I'm looking for suggestions please. About 2 weeks ago, I added the second deep super onto my hives. The second boxes had new frames and foundation. The bees don't seem to want to draw out the new foundation, but would rather build comb on thier owed in between the frames. I have 10 frames in each box being they are new . Just don't know how to get them started. Any sneaky little tricks. Your help is appreciiated. Thank you.

Pull 2 frames from the bottom and put them on the top. Seperate the 2 frames w/ an undrawn frame.

The 2 open spots on the bottom replace with undrawn frame.

They will start on the top and the ones on the bottom they will draw out quicklike and in a hurry.

if i understand you right they are building comb in the second deep between the frames. if this is the case make sure the frames are shoved together tight i have seen them do this when using plastic foundation and durachit foundation. if your using crimped wire foundation i would bring up some drawn comb with brood from the bottom up into the second hive body.
never take the top off a hive on a day that you wouldn't want the roof taken off your house
