How late should you start a trap out?

Since I was successful, or at least somewhat successful with a few trapouts, I've got more people asking me to do some on their houses/trees.

Being in the Pacific NW, how late can I safely do a trap out so the hive can survive?  This is my first year as a beekeeper, so I'm still unsure of what flow will come after blackberry?  If there isn't much of a flow, should I hold off and do the trap out next spring?  If so, how early in the spring should I attempt it?

which side of the mountain are you on?  my fall flow is kind of puny and depends on some of the farm land around.  the only way i can see that you could do it is to buy a queen for the hive.  not enough time to let them make their own.  you'll probably have to feed also.  

if you are on the west side, PM irwin.  he's in Lakeside and more your direction.  he can probably give you a more accurate idea of the flow.

I'm in Roseburg.  There is quite a bit of blooming still occurring, but I'm unsure how much flow there is after the blackberries are done. 

I was up in the Willamette Valley yesterday and saw that there is quite a bit of clover, so you probably have more opportunity than we do in the Umpqua Valley.

white clover was good this year.  about done with that here but i am up toward Mt Hood. still some fireweed and other junk, but toward the end.

We got a little bit of blackberry left but we got a bunch of people with flower bed's and thistle and some wild flower's. some clover but not much.
