Do you, or are you, going to have a Warre hive this coming year?

I am looking to discuss some coordinated efforts in regards to research with people having, or are going to have Warre hives this coming year. It requires no extra cost or specialized materials, beyond having the Warre hive.

For more details, please send me an email, letting me know your Warre hive experience or plans for this coming year. Contact email [email protected] I will send out a preliminary outline detailing what we will be looking at.

I built my first hive (a Warre) in march '09. I liked it pretty good so I built 5 more. By the end of the summer I had colonies in all of them (2 packages, 1 swarm and 3 cut outs).
Last month I harvested over 100 lbs. of delicious wildflower honey and combined my hives down to 4 to winter over. I am on the Palmer Divide at elev 6500' and to date we have already had 2 feet of snow.
I have also cut the parts for 10 more hives which I will assemble through the winter and by early spring I hope to have all 16 hives full of local colonies as I have found that there is no shortage of feral bees in this area.
I would be happy to share resources with any like minded beekeeper.

Is there anywhere I can buy a warre hive? I'm actually interested in trying one, but, alas, I did not get the carpentry bug, and I can't read plans to save my life.

We do sell fully assembled Warre hives. I don't think I can link to it, but you can search for Bee Thinking or click on my signature. There are a number of places selling Warre hives if you do a few google searches.

I sell assembled Warre hives in the Midwest. There are a few online sellers as well.

Can anyone link me to a good site with plans for a Warre hive? One that is fairly accurate to the original plans?
