money can't buy a 1 swarm

went to my parents last weekind .dad and me went to weed eat around his 2 stands of bees well we get there .it was a swarm hanging about 3 feet of the groun we  shook them in a box .he was like a kid with a new toy.he had a light stroke last summer hasnt been the same slowly comeing back but to be there with him.hes 74 yrs young doing it together money can't replace it  i've cought 16 swarms this year but this one has them all beat.one thing for sure if you have mom and dad still here enjoy every little thing  you can do with them.............................

my grandfather is 83 and he loves to go work bees with me. he had 20-30 hives back in the 60's-70's but quit fooling with them. he gave me his old embedders and a dadant smoker that i put a new bellow on and use sometimes...i surely love spending time with him.
