I have an old Root motorized 4 (deep) frame reversible extractor.  It is galvanized.  It could use a good cleaning, and a coating of Camcoat.

I barely have time to keep up with 2-3 hives, so I don't anticipate needing an extractor for several years.  I crush and strain what I steal.  I am hoping someone on here can help me with a fair price opinion.  It has sat in my garage for a few years, and I could really use the space.

The electric motor runs well, and it has a handbrake to ease into the spinning.  It would be great when I need it, I think, but it will just be too many years before it will be practical for me to use.

What price do you think would be fair?

note:  I was considering selling this a year or two ago, so if I already asked this question, I apologize.  I searched and did not find that I had posted anything, but just in case.....

Depending on how much rust is in the inside I'd say $50-$125. I sold a Dadant SS 12 Frame Radial last year for $275 and our club sold almost the same model a few months later for $150. The Stainless Steel models seem to go quicker because they are easier to clean. Here the one we bought and since sold :  http://forum.beemaster.com/index.php/topic,22755.0.html

A friend of ours is downsizing and when he has bees again he's going to go to top bar hives.  He had lots of equipment for sale.  We picked up a nice Dadant 12 frame radial extractor.  We had to clean it up quite a bit:

It's a nice extractor, better than the one we already have, it'll stay up in Maine, so now we've got an extractor for both homes!  It came with an awesome stand that moves around on wheels and has removable handles; you can see on the outside picture the holdl-down system, it works very well!  Pretty good for $200, huh?  :-D

He also was selling some eight-frame medium supers, so we grabbed 15 of them, three telescoping covers, two bottom boards and two or three ten-frame miscellaneous pieces, all for $45.  Normally we wouldn't buy second hand equipment, but we've knows him for awhile and we know his bees were disease free.  From now on all our eight frame equipment will be grey, and the ten frame stuff will be our rhubarb leaf green.  But I don't see us buying much more equipment for the foreseeable future - there's no place to put more!!

Good to see you and Buzzbee as well. We've only got 8 hives this year down from the 20-22 we wanted. Next year we have full intentions on getting more bees, you can count on that. :-D
