How long should i leave the bees alone for after doing a cut out ? Id like to see if i have a queen. And im planning on putting on a second hive body asap.

What would you recomend ?

Four days or more. If you have eggs then, you have a queen.

The first thing I do upon bringing them to the bee yard is pop the top and make sure frames are together to observe proper bee space. Frames have a way of separating during travel.

If the queen is caged you need to release her after a few days.

After that, I wouldn't mess with them for at least four days.

OK poped the top. ANd there buzy attaching the comb to the frames. And I have a queen ! At least i have one. It looked like she was trying to find a spot to lay !

How long after adding the second hive body would it take for them to fillout the foundation and for her to start laying ?
