I have 2 topbars. To prevent swarming, I took several frames from each and made a split. They swarmed anyway. While queenless, they have filled up all available spaces with honey. As I monitor them, though, I see some of the honey has been removed and one hive and the split hive have a queen laying eggs wherever they have opened up space for her.

Here's my question: Do they move that honey to the back of the hives? Do they feed it to the drones (which are quite numerous right now)? Or other? I have fed in empty bars to encourage wax production to give Her Highnesses places to lay, but even some of those are going to honey storage right now.
