Just wanted say hi and introduce myself.  They call me the Jungle Explorer.  This is probably because I spent over 20 years living in and exploring the Amazon Jungle.  I now live near Abilene, Texas (Yeah, I know! Go figure).  I have never tried bee keeping before.  Let me rephrase that; I have never tried serious bee keeping before.  There was this one time in the Amazon when me and my brother captured a huge hive of wild Africanized bee with make shift suits.  We did it though and got them into the hive box, but then they almost all died because we did not know we had to feed them until they were established.  I know what you are thinking, why capture killer bees?  Well, there weren't really any other kind in our area.  But it was a painful learning experience if you know what I mean?  That was 20 years ago.  I am "finally" ready to try it again.  I have a lot to learn and I am hoping that you people can help me.  Thanks in advance.
Are you absolutely sure there are no absolutes?

Wow-- Africanized bees need fed to be established?! In the jungles of the Amazon! That's something new I've learned already.
2 hives of Revis Russians, 26 stings, and 1 season of experience!
