I am going to build some divider frame feeders and to keep the Queens out was thinking of cutting slots just big enough for the workers.
Has anyone done this already?
How wide should the cut be?
Thanks

Just cut up a cheap plastic excluder and mount it on the top of the frame feeder.

Since the queen does not feed herself, I would not worry about it. She spends all of her time on brood cells. Just put it in the slot next to the side wall. It might cause more problems for the bees as they fight to get through it.

I don't remember ever finding a drowned queen... I think you're trying to solve a problem that doesn't exist...

You are right on; the idea was to have one less place for Queen's to hide!
So this is back to K.I.S.S. just a slot on each side and a wall in the center.

Unless it's a new virgin, you'll find the queen on the comb... a virgin, well she might be anywhere but still probably not in a feeder...
