I treated for mites last fall . . . insulated . . . . gave them an upper entrance . . . and put them to bed weighing over 140 lbs.

I opened the hive up today to find this . . . .

Actually, because of the shim, there were just as many bees sticking to the inner cover, that was not shown in this video.

Next time we get into the fifties over here, the top feeders are going on mine.

After subtracting for added insulation/super, . . ., etc, the double deep weighs 117 lbs.   I have around 30 lbs of stores left before critical weight is reached.  I don't think I'll come close to that.  Pollen starts to come in in a few weeks.
