I did not know if anyone has come up with this idea to help with straining cutout honey comb? so I wanted to let everyone know about it. if you are using the three mesh strainers with the five gal honey bucket. try getting t extra buckets and cutting them 1 inch under the place where the wire handle attaches then cut slots every 3 inches around the bottom. the fine screen sets in the bottom five gal bucket with the gate on it then place one of the cut off bucket tops on and press it in the add your med strainer then the other bucket top and then the course strainer.  When you crush the comb and put int in the top it will stain down into the med mesh and start to strain into the fine mesh. you can lift each section a little to scrape the screen of each strainer to help with the flow. have to have three different buckets with honey gates takes up alot of space. I do this using this setup and takes up no space and i can process about 2gal of crushed comb before having to clean the course mesh to add more.

just a suggestion for the people with limited space and funds like me.

I'll get a photo up as soon as I can get another camera. (cameras and rain don't mix well)

This is what I used back in the day.   There is no pressing, but over night will drain the honey out.  2 buckets stuck together with the bottom of the top bucket with tons of holes drilled in it.  Mesh strainer bag in that top bucket holds the wax and filters the honey into the bottom bucket with gate for bottling.
I would like to see pics of the set up you are using.

Great idea!  Thanks for the pics.    They helped a lot.  I just couldn't picture it in my head before.

by the way I use the led flashlight to see how much is collecting in the bottom bucket so I don't have to open it up so much. the sections can get heavey when I'm straining comb.
