What's the story with these swarms?

asprince

That swarm was at a commercial bee yard. We think it was multiple swarms from several hives that got caught up in the excitement and landed at the same spot. There was 10 lbs or more on the ground. We put bees in 6 deep boxes and 3 nucs.

Did you find queens or just dump them in?   Lot of bees involved.

asprince

We did not worry about looking for a queen. We just put them in boxes with some brood from another hive. If there is a queen fine. If not they can raise one.

This was last Saturday. We got 23 swarms that day not counting that one. We hive most with a Robo bee vac. Suckem up and go.

my biggest (and only) swarm.  It made it through the winter, and is booming now.

All we are saying is give bees a chance, all together now.
