Hi, Ive hived 2 packages today in my uncles back yard.  They all did their orientation flights, the queen was released inside on both packages.  As it became dark, my uncle called me and told me that on one of the hive, it  looks as if all the bees came outside and hanging on the walls of the hive.  Im not sure what it is, or if its a problem or not, not sure what to do. :?

I'd keep an eye on them.  They may be considering absconding or they may just be getting organized.

Hi Michael.  What should I do if they are planning to abscond?

I'd put four drops of lemongrass essential oil on the top bar of one of the frames in the hive...
