I have a beekeeper neighbour that I hate. He made traps for my swarms but never catch.
Once he hang his traps, I am just rubbing very firmly, a bunch of daisy flowers and leaves to the entrances.
No evidence, no environmental pollution...

lol, usually its the neighbors hate the beekeeper!

I sprinkle 7 dust in the cavity.  I don't like doing it but it's effective.  Homeowners don't like to see even stragglers when they've paid to get rid of them.  It kills them off and get's rid of any later "realtor bees" that are looking to find an old cavity to reoccupy.

Sevin powder, the 5% type from the hardware store, says duration is only good for 21 days.
Anyways, I don't like using any of this but just an option for those homeowners that want something for future proofing. I just suggest, I don't apply myself.

Interesting.  I've never seen (nor looked for) the duration of 7 dust.  I've not done many cut outs but on those I've done I've never had any swarms that moved back in.
