Anyone know of a good beevac?  I don't want to build my own, I want to buy one.  I have seen a couple, but don't know which one is any good.

Bushkill Bee Vac / Robo-Vac

Not cheap, but great design and the best out there (in my rookie opinion).  Check the link out and see what makes it different from the rest of the vacs out there.  My 81 year old mentor was very impressed with the one I got.  With some rudimentary equipment and skills you can build one your self.  (I didn't think the equipment I had available at the time would do the job and I'm not commenting on my skills ).

Rob, I never did say thanks for getting the vac shipped on out to me quick.  Thanks! ;)

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

It is better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought of as a fool than to open ones mouth and in so doing remove all doubt.

I use one I got from Brushy Mountain Bee Farm.
I can handle it while on a ladder, when the cage gets crowded just swap out cages.
I've vaccumed swarms from hard to get places and around entrances to buildings.

I too have been using Robs bee vac design for years. We (my friends and I) have hived over 1000 swarms with this vac design. When adjusted properly, very few bees die or are left behind. I would not think of using another design vac. We run ours off one of those $100 Harbor Freight generators.

Good Luck,

Steve
