I am a first year beekeeper from Georgia, the southern end of the state.  I have been studying beekeeping for over a year and purchased five packages this past spring.  I have learned a lot from them this year.  I am looking to expand in the coming years and see where this hobby will take me.  I am always looking for sources of information such as this site.

Welcome to the bee forum Michael, what town are you from?

Welcome to the forum, Michael.  Starting with five hives you probably have picked up on a lot.  I started beek late last fall, strange time, I got three established hives from an estate.  This spring I caught six swarms, most from those three hives.  Good luck to you and your bees.

Michael, you may as well ad your town name now and get it over with. You'll get tired of people asking you where. :-D
