Hello,My name is Brad. I am a new beekeeper w/2 hives (more in spring) and a small hobby farm.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I am adding 1 more hive from a nuc already ordered,and I may experiment with a split. Depends on work schedule.

:? :? :? Vance are you not aware of the Marcellus and Devonian shale fields under southeast Ohio.  It was a serious comment and I know of some people in SE Ohio that have become very rich from the stuff under their feet.

They just driilled on my neighbors property, not enough oil to justify any futher action. Left the property a mess and tore up the driveway. I guess I'll have to make my fortune keeping bees.lol

That's a bummer, it's a lot harder to make $$$ with bees than it is with oil/nat gas!  I've got relatives in Zanesville and Monroe county.

As the others have said, good luck with the bees.  It is an additive hobby.
