Hello from Mississippi

I am, hopefully, a soon to be beekeeper and plan on joining the local club, the Central MS Beekeeping Association.  I live on a few acres in Brandon, MS and plan on two hives.

Welcome to the forum, Scott.  I'm in the southeast assoc., we meet in Laurel.  There are members in ours as far your way as Raleigh.  And a member in Taylorsville
has opened  Southern States Bee Supply.  Good luck

Thanks for the welcome.  I didn't know we had a supply site in MS; Taylorsville isn't too far away either.

I to am new to this. Hope to start with at least 2 hives maybe 4. Haven't really decided yet.  My hive ship on Monday. Can't wait.

I am trying to make it to Macon next month. Hope I can but my nucs might be ready that weekend. We'll see.

Welcome to the forum Stancill.  Yuall be glad you came to the forum.


I'm a  member of the Southeastern Miss beek assc.  We meet at Laurel, MS  been telling the members to join and learn some new stuff for months.  At least get several points of view.  I think it is the best place to learn about bees.  Good luck to all
