So do you REALLY want to know where bees wax comes from.  :-D

Went to the hive to watch the girls. Popped the top to check the hive top feeder level and was watching the bees on the screen, since they walk belly up on the screen I got to see where wax comes from. Too cool and totally neat.

That one girl has six pack abs. Shes looking good.   :-D

While I was watching I think I saw a bee take the wax flake off of one bees ab and start eating it. Could be mistaken though.

Beek is some wild and cool stuff. :)

Bravo Georgia Boy!  Great pics!  I've never got a good look at one of the girls loaded with wax like that.  Enjoy your new obsession!  It only gets more consuming!  Lol

Watch bees in swarms.  You can see it there as well.
It looks odd the first time you see it.
I thought the bee had some parasitic eggs on it the first time I saw this.

most often i find my greatest source of stress to be OPS  ( other peoples stupidity )

It is better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought of as a fool than to open ones mouth and in so doing remove all doubt.

Even with an observation hive I have not seen the wax on the bees. See it all the time in the bob bottom trays. Great pictures.
